Carbon steel plates are widely used in industrial production and construction. In the field of industrial production, it is mainly used to manufacture industrial structural parts such as automobiles, ships, mechanical equipment, aircraft, rails, and bridges. In the field of construction, carbon steel plates are mainly used in the manufacture of building structures, bridges, tunnels and some heavy equipment.
Carbon steel is divided into low carbon steel, medium carbon steel and high carbon steel according to the carbon content:
Low-carbon steel: carbon content of 0.02% to 0.25%
Medium carbon steel: carbon content of 0.25% to 0.6%
High-carbon steel: carbon content of 0.6% to 2.14%
Steel contains more carbon and becomes harder, so low-carbon steel is used as a steel plate produced by cold rolling that deforms the material at low temperature, and high-carbon steel is used for tools requiring hardness, etc.
